My Approach to Therapy
Therapy is a deeply personal process and I consider it a privilege to be invited to be a part of your journey in healing and improving your life and relationships. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which I support you in identifying your goals for therapy and assist you in achieving those goals. I am a holistic therapist, attending to biological influences, psychological functioning, social and family contexts, spiritual values you may hold and addressing sexuality and intimacy. Engaging in therapy takes courage and may be challenging at times. It is my intention to create a space where you feel safe and valued. While we will work hard together, I also believe in the healing effects of laughter and seek to use humor and principles of positive psychology in my practice.

Free Consultation
Every therapist is unique and finding a clinician that is a good fit for you is essential. For this reason, I provide a free 15 minute phone consultation. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about my approach to therapy or the therapeutic process. It also gives both of us a chance to determine if we are a good fit. If you would be better served by another clinician, I will provide you with referrals.

About Me
I am a mom with kids ranging in age from 9 to 19 years old. My life experience has given me an appreciation for the incredible joys and deep challenges of parenting and maintaining the marriage/couple relationship. I have a passion for the outdoors and travel. I lived in China for six months, working as a volunteer before having kids. I value my relationships with family and friends above all and love hiking, camping or traveling with the people I love. I also find significant meaning and joy in my work as a therapist. Solitary time finds me curled up with a good book and a cup of tea.
